Unboxing the Printer
- First, unbox the printer; remove all stickers, tapes, and wrapping material inside
- and outside the printer.
- Make sure you remove stickers, tapes, cover materials from outside the
- printer, and from the control panel after unboxing the printer.
- Remove all material covering inside the lid of the scanner.
- Remove all wrapping materials inside the access area of the ink cartridge.
- Remove all photo trays accessible inside the input tray from tapes and
- wrapping material.
- Make sure you remove all wrapping materials from the input tray after the
- paper width guides have been slid.
- Unbox all the hardware and stuff, and remove all the stickers, tapes, and
- wrapping materials from them.
- Connecting to a power source and setting preferences
- Connect the printer to the power cord, turn on the printer, and then set the
- preferred language, time, region or country on the printer control panel.
- Connect one end of the wire to the back of the printer and the other end of
- the wire to the power cable.
- Turn to your printer.
- Go to the printer control panel.
- Select the chosen language and press continue.
- Select the region or country and click Continue Setup.
- Set the date and press continue.
- Set the time, then click Continue to complete the setup.
- Placing sheets of paper to the input tray
- After unboxing and completing the settings, insert the sheets of paper within the
- input tray. When prompted, tap the play icon to show the animated instructions
- on the control panel on how to properly install the paper inside the input tray.
- Open the input tray and slide the paper width guidelines away from each
- other.
- Load the sheets of paper inside the input tray and smoothly slide the width
- of the paper to the edges of the paper.
- Close the input tray correctly.
- Installation of Ink Cartridges
- Unbox and remove from the ink cartridges all stickers, tapes and wrapping
- materials. When asked, touch the change ink to show animated control panel
- instructions as to how to install the tin cartridge properly.
- Gently open the door to the ink cartridge.
- The choice will display the name of Change Ink on the control panel. If you
- want to see an interactive example of how to use ink cartridges properly,
- press Change Ink.
- Extract the ink cartridge from the box and make sure to keep the cartridge
- only on the black plastic side.
- Remove the protective tape by pulling the orange tab on the cartridge.
- Install the ink cartridges properly in their respective slots. Install the black
- cartridge to the left slot and the three-color cartridge to the right slot.
- Repeat the above steps to install all the cartridges.
- Gently close the door to the ink cartridge.
- Note: If the ink cartridge door is not properly closed, the printer can not
- print properly.
- To go further, press the Yes button.
- If the ink cartridges and sheets of paper are properly installed, the printer
- will start printing the test page.
- Installing HP Wireless Printer in Windows via 123.hp.com/setup
- It is important to remember the network name and the network key when
- installing the HP Wireless Printer on your Windows computer.
- Turn on the printer.
- Go to the printer control panel and select the Wireless option.
- Go to Settings and open the Wireless Settings menu.
- Select the choice of the Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Follow on-screen instructions to link your printer to a wireless network.
- Visit the official HP 123.hp.com/setup site.
- Go to the Print section, enter your printer model number, and click the
- Submit button.
- Tap Choose a specific OS, choose Windows as the operating system, and
- choose the Windows version according to the configuration of your device.
- Click the Update button.
- Now the approved driver package is download.
- Locate the downloaded file.
- Double-click the downloaded driver file to install it on your computer.
- Click the Run button if prompted.
- Follow on-screen instructions on your computer to execute the installation
- process properly.
- HP Printer Wireless Setup in Mac OS via 123.hp.com/setup
- Make sure you remember the Network Key and the Network Name before
- installing the HP Wireless Printer on your Mac computer.
- Switch the printer on
- Choose the Wireless option under your printer’s Control Panel.
- Open the Wireless Settings menu that can be accessed under the Settings
- option.
- Go to the tool Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Go through the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your
- home network.
- Go to the official HP 123.hp.com/setup site.
- Visit the Print screen, enter the model number of your printer, and press
- the Submit button.
- Choose a specific OS, choose Mac OS as an operating system and choose
- the version of your Mac OS according to the properties of your computer.
- Click the Update tab.
- Now download the required HP Easy Start software file or the full.dmg
- driver package.
- Find out more about the downloaded package.
- Double-click it to install the downloaded driver file on your computer.
- If you are prompted to add a printer to the printer queue, click on the
- name of your printer, select the Print Use or Use menu, and, when
- prompted, select the name of your printer.
- Click the Add button.
- Now, go back to the HP Installer and follow the on-screen instructions on
- your computer to execute the installation process properly.
